Early Life and Career

Rodrigo González Espíndola, better known as "Rod", was born on May 19, 1968, in Chile. He immigrated to Germany with his family as a child. In the early 1980s, he became interested in music and formed a band called Die Ärzte with Farin Urlaub and Bela B. Felsenheimer.

Die Ärzte

Die Ärzte is one of the most successful rock bands in German history. They have released over 20 studio albums and toured extensively throughout the world. Rod is known for his energetic stage presence, catchy basslines, and humorous lyrics. He has also contributed to the band's songwriting, including the hit single "Schrei nach Liebe" ("Scream for Love").

Solo Projects

In addition to his work with Die Ärzte, Rod has also pursued solo projects. He has released several solo albums, including "Laune der Natur" ("Mood of Nature") and "Herr Präsident" ("Mr. President"). Rod's solo work often features a more experimental and introspective sound compared to Die Ärzte's music.
